Veg Pulav


Ingredients
Basmati Rice  - 2 cups
Veg pieces(can add any veggies like potato,carrot,beans,capsicum etc)
green chillis - 2(slit length wise)
cloves - 2
cardamom - 2
cinnamon - 1 inch
Bay leaf - 2
Anistar - 1
marati mogga - 1
mint leaves - little
oil - 4 tsps
ghee - 2 tsps
water - 4 cups
salt - as per taste
chopped cilantro for garnishing

Masalagrind with little water)
chopped Ginger - 2 tsp
chopped Coconut - 2 tsp
Coriander seeds - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Cloves - 4
Green cardamom pods - 4
Cinnamon stick - small piece

Method
1.Measure the rice using a cup. Wash and clean it. Drain water and keep aside for 30 minutes.

2.Take a cooker,heat it with a oil and ghee.Add cloves, cinnamon and cardamon ,bay leaves,Anistar,marati mogga,mint leaves and allow it to fry for few minutes.

3.Add the veg pieces and allow it to fry for few mins in a low flame.

4.now add green chillis to it and fry for few mins.Now add grinded masala paste and fry till the raw smell goes.

5.Now add the washed rice to it,mix it,add salt and close the lid and pressure cook in simmer for few minutes until the rice get well cooked....

6.Switch off flame.Garnish with a handful of chopped cilantro.

7.Your Veg Biryani is ready! Serve hot with raita and any vegetarian spicy curries.
