Madras Curry Powder

Ingredients
Black Pepper -2 tsp
fenugreek seeds - 5gms
coriander seeds - 15 gms
Jeera - 1 tsp
channa dal - 10 gms
curry leaves
dry red chillis - 8
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Parboiled rice - 1 cup
asafetida(hing) - 1 tsp

Preparation
1.Heat kadai,roast black pepper,fenugreek seeds,coriander seeds,Jeera,mustard seeds,dry red chillis,channa dal one by one including curry leaves in a low flame without oil and keep it aside.

2.Once the ingredients are cooled,add asafetida.

3.Grind them into a fine powder and store it in a air-tight container.
