Chole Masala



Ingredients
white chick peas - 1 cup(soak overnight in water)
chopped tomato - 1 cup
ginger garlic paste - 1 tsp
Everest chole masala powder - 1 tsp
cloves - 2
cinamon - a small size
cardamon pods - 2
red chilli pwd - 1 tsp
salt - as per taste
turmeric - a pinch
oil - 3 tsp
1/4 tsp sugar(optional)
chopped coriander leaves - for garnish

Method
1.Pressure cook the white chick peas till soft but not mushy.

2.Make a paste of 3 tbsps of the boiled chick peas.

3.Keep aside the boiled chick peas along with the left over water (used to pressure cook the chickpeas) and the boiled chick peas paste.

4.Heat oil in a heavy pan. Add cloves,cinamon,cardomon and fry till u get nice aroma.

5.Now add ginger garlic paste and fry till the raw smell goes.

6. then add chopped tomatos and fry for 5-6 mins.

7.Add turmeric,red chilli powder and salt. Mix well.

8.Now add boiled chole with the left over water and the boiled chole paste.Combine well.

9.Add more water if required, cover and cook till you get the desired consistency for gravy.

10.Add masala powder,sugar and mix well. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves.

11.Serve hot with puri,roti or bhatura.
