Oats Idly


Ingredients
Idly Rice/Parboiled rice - 1 cup
Urad dal - 3/4 cup
Rolled oats - 1 cup
Fenugreek seeds - 1 tsp
Salt - to taste

Method
1.Wash and Soak urad dal and rice separately in a bowl of water for minimum 6-8 hours.Add fenugreek seeds to the Urad dal while soaking.

2.Soak the oats for just 1 hour before grinding.

3.Drain water from urad dal and rice.

4.Grind the urad dal into smooth paste by adding little water and transfer it to a tall bowl.

5.Now grind the rice into a course paste by adding water and transfer it to the ground batter.

6.Next grind oats to a course paste and transfer it to the ground batter.

7.Finally mix everything together and let it ferment overnight for about 8 hours.(not more than that)

8.Add salt and make idlis as usual and offer Lord with any chutney or sambar.
