Ingredients
Rice - 1 cup
Chopped Tomatos - 2 (medium) finely chopped
green Peas - 1/2 cup (check for note below..)
green chilli - 1 slit (or acc to ur spice)
Cardomom - 2
Cloves - 2
Cinamon stick - inch piece
bay leaf - 1 small
Hing - a pinch
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - to taste
Sugar - 1/2 tsp
coriander leaves - for garnishing
water - 2 cups
Oil - 2 tbsp
Ghee - 1 tbsp
Method
1.In a Pressure cooker,Heat oil and ghee.Add cardomon,cloves,cinamon stick,bay leaf and fry for a minute.
2.Add green chilli,curry leaves,peas and fry for 2 mins.
3.Add Hing,turmeric powder,tomatos,sugar and fry for 5 minutes.
4.Add rice,water,salt and mix gently.
5.Close the lid and pressure cook for 1 whistle and simmer for 10 minutes.Turn off heat and allow it to cool.
6.Garnish with coriander leaves.
Note:
If you are using frozen green peas, then add peas after the step 3 i.e, before adding rice and fry for a minute.
