Anapakayi Senagapappu Kura

Ingredients:
Bottle gourd - 2 cups (Peel,wash and cubed)
Chana dal - 1/2 cup (wash and soak in water for 30 mins)

Tomatoes - 2 medium sized (finely chopped)
Cumin Seeds - 1 tsp
Green chillis - 2
Grated ginger paste -1 tsp
Coriander powder - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - a few
Tamarind  - small lemon sized (soak in a cup of warm water and extract)
garam masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
coriander leaves -  for garnish
water - 2 1/2 cups
Oil - 1 tbsp

Method:
1. Heat oil in a vessel, add cumin seeds,green chillis,curry leaves and sault for a minute.
2.Add the grated ginger and saute for 2 minutes.
3.Add salt,chilli powder and coriander powder,stir it once and add bottle gourd pieces cook for few minutes.
4.Add channa dal,water,tomatos,tamrind extract,cover the lid and pressure cook for 1 whistle and simmer for 5 minutes.Turn off flame.Let it cool down until pressuse comes out completely.
5.Turn on heat,Place the cooker,add garam masala and mix well.Garnish with coriander leaves.
