Ingredients
Samiya - 1 cup
tomato - 1 (optional)
Urad dal - 1 tsp
chana dal - 1 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1 tsp
cumin seeds - 1 tsp
curry leaves - few
oil - 1 tbsp
ghee - 1 tsp
Green chilli : 1
Ginger - small piece
water : 3 cups
Method
1. Heat oil in a kadai, add mustard seeds, cumin seeds.
3.When the seeds splutter, add urad dal,chana dal,ginger,curry leaves and fry until dals turn slight brown.
4.now add green chilli,tomatos and fry for 3 mins.Now add samiya and fry for 3 more minutes.
5.Add boiling water,salt cover the lid and allow it to cook until water evaporates,
6.Add ghee and mix everything well.
6.Now Samiya upma is ready to offer.
