Allam Chutney
Ingredients
Ginger root - 2 inch piece(remove skin,slice)reduce if you can’t take spice
Chana dal - 4 tsp
Urad dal - 4 tps
Red chillis - 2-3(according to your spice level)
Jeera - 1 tsp
tamrind - small piece
Jaggery - small piece
salt - as per taste
water - for griinding
oil - 2 tsp
Method
1.Heat oil in a kadai,add chana dal,urad dal,red chillis,jeera,ginger pieces and fry till dal turn slightly red and a nice aroma emanates.Remove from heat and cool.
2.Grind the roasted ingredients,tamrind,jaggery along with salt, to a paste by adding about one-fourth cup of water.
3.This goes well with any Dosa or Idly.
