Paneer Mutter


Ingredients
Paneer, cubed – 1 cup
Frozen Green Peas – 1 cup
Cashew Nut – 2 tsp
Poppy Seeds – 1 tsp
Cloves - 2
Cinnamon – 1 inch piece
Ginger – 1 inch piece
Green Chilies - 2
Chopped Tomatoes – 2
Cumin Seeds (Jeera) – 1 tsp
Red Chili Powder – 1 tsp
Turmeric Powder – 1 tsp
Garam Masala Powder – 1 tsp
Sugar – 1 tsp
Oil / Ghee – 4 tsp
Salt – as per taste
chopped Cilantro – for garnishing


Method
1.Heat 2 tsp oil in frying pan, fry paneer cubes until golden brown and Soak fried paneer cubes in bowl of water for 10 mniutes, drain and keep aside.

2.In Small bowl soak cashew nut and poppy seeds in 1/4 cup warm water for 30 minutes.

3.Blend together cashew nuts, poppy seeds, ginger, green chili, tomatoes, clove and cinnamon, into smooth paste.

4.Now heat remaining oil in a kadai on medium heat

5.Add cumin seeds, wait until seeds crackle.

6.Add cashew and poppy seeds paste cook until oil separates, stirring occasionally.

7.Add red chili powder, turmeric powder, garam masala powder, sugar and salt, mix well.

8.Add peas with 1/2 cup of water, cook for 5 minutes.

9.Add Paneer cubes, mix and cook for 5 more minutes or until thick.

10.Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot with roti, chappati, paratha or rice.
