Ingredients
Toor dal - 1 cup
water - 3 1/2 cups
Tomatos - 2 medium size(chopped)
Green chillies - 2 slit length wise
Chilly powder - 1 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1\4 tsp
Coriander Powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Oil/ghee - 1 tsp
Tadka/Popu
Oil/ghee - 1 tbsp
mustard seeds - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Red chillis - 2
hing - a pinch
curry leaves - a few
Method
1. Take a Pressure cooker, add dal,water and pressure cook for 1 whistle and simmer for 10 mins. Turn off heat and let the pressure completely comes out.
2.Heat Ghee in a pan, add Tadka and when seeds splutter add greenchillis, tomatoes,turmeric powder,coriander powder,redchilli powder.
3.After tomatoes are cooked add the cooked dal,salt and mix it well for 2 more minutes and switch off.
