Ingredients
wheat flour - 1 ½ cups
Salt - to taste
oil - 2 tsps
warm water - ½ cup approx.
Whole wheat flour - ½ cup for rolling
Oil - for frying
Method
1.Take the flour in a bowl and make a hole in the center.Add salt and 2 tsps oil.
2.Mix well and add warm water slowly and mix it well.Make a soft dough and knead well.
3.Grease the dough with few drops of oil,knead it once.Cover & let it rest for 15 mins.
4.Now Knead the dough once more,divide it into equal portions of small balls.Roll out to a flat circle.Wipe off the excess flour with hands.
5.Heat the Tawa on a medium heat.Place the rolled chapati on hot tava. When you start to see puffed circles, flip it over.
6.After about few seconds,smear the chapatti with a little oil and flip over.
7.Press the chapatti with a spatula to make it balloon up.Smear the other side with a little oil and flip over again.
8.Keep pressing on the bubbles gently to make the entire chapatti rise up and remove and store it in a insulated container.
9.Repeat the same process with the remaining dough.
