Dosakaya Pulusu/Cucumber Stew
Ingredients
Cucumber - 2 medium size
Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Tamarind - a lemon sized(extract juice)
Red Chilly Powder - ½ tsp
Salt - as per taste
Jaggary - a small piece
For Seasoning
Oil - 1 tblsn
Mustard Seeds - 1 tsp
Curry Leaves - a few
Dry Red Chilly - 1 cut into half
Hing - a pinch
Method
1.Peel,wash and Chop cucumber to pieces by removing the seeds.
2.Heat a tsp of oil in pressure cooker.Add the seasoning,turmeric powder and sault for few mins.
3.Add chopped cucumber,salt,red chilly powder and cook for few mins.
4.Add tamarind juice,jaggery piece and mix well.
5.Pressure cook for 2 whistles.later keep in sim for 3 minutes and turn off the heat.Wait till the pressure goes off.
6.Remove the lid of the pressure cooker. Uncover the pressure the cooker and cook for 5-10 minutes till the water evaporates. Turn off the heat.
Transfer the curry to a serving bowl.
