Ingredients
Bottle Gourd - 1 medium sized(peeled and chopped into medium cubes)
Green chillies - 2
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Salt - 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
Tamrind - a lemon sized(extract juice)
Jaggery - a small piece
Sasame powder - 2 tsps
Coriander leaves – for garnishing

Tadka/Popu
oil - 2 tsps
Cumin seeds - 1/4 tsp
Mustard seeds - 1/4 tsp
Red chillies - 1
Curry leaves - a few

Method
1.Heat Oil in a cooking vessel.
2.Add tadka/popu and fry for few seconds.
3.Add turmeric powder,bottle gourd pieces and salt.
4.Close the vessel and cook till the pieces become tender.
5.Add chilli powder and cook for few mins.
6.Add Tamrind juice,Jaggery and allow it to cook until the bottle gourd is fully cooked.
6.Lastly,add sesame powder and cook for 5 more mins.
7.Turn off the heat and garnish with coriander leaves.
