Ingredients to make Gravy
Tomato puree - 1 cup
Ginger paste - 1 tsp
Jeera - 1 tsp
Fresh Cream or Milk - 1 cup
Garam masala powder - 1/2 tsp
turmeric powder - 1/4 tsp
coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Jeera powder - 1/4 tsp
Red chilli powder - 1/2 tsp
Cashew nut powder - 3 tsps
Chopped coriander - for garnishing
Oil - 3 tsps
water - as required
To Make Koftas
Potatos - 1 cup (Boil,Peel & Mash)
Paneer - 1 cup grated
chopped vegetables - 1 cup (Boil & Strain the water)
Broken Cashewnuts - 2 tsps
chopped coriander - a few
coriander powder - 1/2 tsp
Jeera Powder - 1/4 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1/4 tsp
Salt - as per taste
Maida or corn flour - 2 tsps for rolling
Oil - for deep fry
1.Mix all the ingredients well like a dough,make small balls,roll in Maida or Cornflour and keep it aside.
2.Heat Oil in a kadai,Slowly add all the prepared balls into the oil and fry till light golden brown. (Make sure not to deep fry them)
3.Remove them and put them in a paper towel.
4.Your Koftas are ready to mix in gravy.
Method
1.Heat oil in a Pan,Add Jeera and fry for a min.
2.Add ginger paste and fry for another min.
3.Add tomato puree and cook till oil gets separated.
4.Now add turmeric powder,coriander powder,jeera powder,chilli powder,salt and fry for a min.
5.Add enough water and bring it to a boil.
6.Now add cashewnut powder,cream,garam masala powder and mix well for a min.
7.Turn off heat,gently add prepared koftas and garnish with chopped coriander.
8.Malai Kofta is ready to serve.
